I tried this with my Acer iconia tab a500 and nokia e71(JoikuSpot), it worked well.

1st of all, ur tablet should be rooted already and ur wifi off.

1. download wpa-supplicant to your computer and extract it.
2. connect your tab to ur desktop and copy/paste the extracted file to ur tab.
3. open root explorer
4. at root screen of root explorer, go to /system/bin
5. click the Mount R/W and then scroll down at the very bottom, u will see wpa-supplicant file
6. Rename wpa-supplicant to wpa-supplicant.OLD or .BAK
7. copy/paste the extracted file to /system/bin
8. u should see both files wpa-supplicant and wpa-supplicant.OLD or BAK
