tested with Toyota 7k-e and Nissan B13 engine
Materials needed:
pressure hose
brass fittings
hose clamps
pressure gauge(got mine from old air pressure regulator)
I encountered a problem with my 7k-e engine, oil sensor in my dashboard lite up..... to make the story short, i cleaned the engine coz its filled with sludge due to missed oil change.... and after cleaning the engine, it appears that oil indicator in my dashboard lite up and after a few seconds it goes away...... So to be sure if the engine is getting the right oil pressure i need an engine oil pressure gauge and since its gonna be use only ones... instead of buying, i decided to make 1 for myself, i have an old air pressure regulator laying around that i can use...
the pic above is where the oil pressure sensor is
connected, i removed the sensor, connected
the brass fitting and started the engine.....
oil pressure is 30 psi idling in 750 rpm...
check the video....
Make sure you tighten the hose clamps and the brass fitting at the pressure gauge otherwise oil will be spilling out.... FYI, base in the manual of 7k-e engine, oil pressure max is 70psi to 80psi don't use pressure gauge that is less than ur max oil pressure or else you'll just break ur pressure gauge....
